Story from UPI.com
ALBUQUERQUE, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- A University of New Mexico fraternity had its charter revoked this week due to incidents involving alcohol and discovery of a shotgun in the house.
The Albuquerque Journal said Friday that the Kappa Sigma house was ordered vacated by the end of the fall semester and won't be allowed to reopen until the national fraternity organization reinstates the charter.
Kappa Sigma was one of three New Mexico fraternities suspended this fall due to rules violations.
The Journal said the specific incidents involved underage visitors being supplied with alcohol and an August fight that led to the discovery of the shotgun by police.
